South Bend, IN-The Midwest League was saddened to learn of the passing of President Emeritus and Director of Midwest League Umpire Development, George H. Spelius. George H. Spelius, born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, graduated from Waukesha (WI) High School in 1952. He earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business from Carroll College (Waukesha, WI) in 1956.
