Former Stampede Star Nate Prosser Returning To Sioux Falls With Wild Road Tour

Sioux Falls, SD-Former Stampede star Nate Prosser will return to Sioux Falls on Monday, June 21st when he takes part in the Minnesota Wild Road Tour which is making a stop in Sioux Falls.

The event will take place from 5-6 PM on June 21st in the Scheels Sporting Goods north parking lot. Prosser will be joined by fellow defenseman Brent Burns, Wild television play-by-play man Dan Terhaar and mascot "Nordy."

Fans will have an opportunity to meet Prosser, Burns, Terhaar and Nordy during that time and get autographs. Sports Talk with Craig & John on KWSN-AM 1230 will be broadcasting "live" and the Stampede will part of the festivities as well. The whole event is a fundraiser for Sioux Falls Youth Hockey.

The Wild and Wells Fargo are also supporting Cell Phones for Soldiers on the Road Tour. Fans will receive a free puck or mug when donating a used cell phone at one of the Road Tour stops. Cell Phones for Soldiers will recycle the used cell phone and send a 60 minute phone card to a soldier overseas for each phone donated. Minnesota Army National Guard and Kemps will also be prominent at the stops on the 2010 Wells Fargo Minnesota Wild Road Tour.

Prosser played in Sioux Falls from 2003 to 2006 and was captain of the Herd's Anderson Cup championship team in 2005-06 when he led the squad in defensive scoring with 30 points and a plus-30 rating. He was named to the Stampede's All-Decade team in 2009 and is a fan favorite.

Prosser went on to play four years of collegiate hockey at Colorado College before signing with the Wild at the end of last season. He was one of 12 former players at Stampede tryout camp this past weekend in Minneapolis.
