Allen Americans News Release
Allen, Texas - The Allen Americans of the ECHL announced today that they have signed forward Jack Combs to a contract for the 2014-2015 season.
Combs arrived in Allen today to be reunited with his former Tulsa Oilers and Colorado Eagles linemate Chad Costello, who was signed by the Americans last week.
"They are one of the highest scoring combos in AA history," said Allen Americans Head Coach and General Manager Steve Martinson. "I'm expecting them to put on a scoring clinic while we have them together."
Jack Combs brings top line skill to an already talented Americans lineup. He put up 79 points in 50 games over two seasons with the Colorado Eagles, in 2011-2012 and 2012-2013. He had 40 goals and 42 assists with the Tulsa Oilers in the 2010-2011 season. For his pro career, Jack Combs has 147 goals in 326 pro games. Combs played with the Americans AHL affiliate Worcester, in 2011-2012 scoring 16 goals in 50 games.
The Americans open the regular season this Friday night at 7:05 pm against Combs' and Costello's former team, the Tulsa Oilers. Tickets are on sale at www.ticketmaster.com or call (972) 912-1000 .
