Stampede Acquires Three Draft Picks

BOISE, Idaho (October 24, 2014) - The Idaho Stampede announced today that the team has acquired three draft picks in preparation for the 2014 NBA Development League Draft. Idaho has traded the returning player rights of Durrell Summers to the Reno Bighorns for Reno's fifth round selections in both the 2014 and 2015 NBA D-League drafts. The Stampede has also traded a third round pick in the 2015 draft to the Oklahoma City Blue for Canton's original third round pick in the 2014 draft.
Idaho now has a total of eight picks in the 2014 NBA D-League Draft to be held on Saturday, November 1. The Stampede will host a live draft party at Legends Sports Pub & Grill at 1 pm MST. Fans have the chance to meet members of the team's ownership group, front office staff, spirit team and coaching staff.
The 14th season of the NBA D-League tips off on Nov. 14. Following the Draft, the Stampede will hold training camp beginning on Nov. 2, and will trim the roster to 10 players on Nov. 13, in advance of the start of the season.
The final 2014 NBA D-League Draft order will be announced on Oct. 31, after all potential trades have been executed. No trades of players or picks will be permitted during the Draft and only players signed to an NBA Development League Standard Player Contract are eligible to be selected.
