Gushchin Named AHL Player of the Week

April 15, 2024 - San Jose, CA - The American Hockey League (@TheAHL) announced today that San Jose Barracuda (@SJBarracuda) forward Danil Gushchin has been selected as the Howies Hockey Tape/AHL Player of the Week for the period ending April 14, 2024. Gushchin recorded three goals and three assists in three games for the Barracuda last week. On Wednesday evening, Gushchin recorded two assists before scoring the tying goal in the third period, helping San Jose rally for a 6-5 victory over Henderson. April 13, 2024 - San Jose, Ca. - The San Jose Barracuda (22-33-10-4) scored the first goal on Saturday afternoon against the Texas Stars (33-31-4-2), but penalty trouble allowed for the Stars to tie it in the third before claiming a 2-1 win in overtime. In the first, the Barracuda outshot the Stars 12-11, no penalties were called, and the game remained scoreless after one. Romanov Makes 39 Saves, Cuda Outshine Stars

April 13, 2024 - San Jose, Ca. - Lucas Vanroboys, Danil Gushchin and Filip Bystedt all scored, and Georgi Romanov made 39 saves as the San Jose Barracuda (22-33-9-4) upended the Texas Stars (32-31-4-2) 3-1 on Friday night at Tech CU Arena. After the Barracuda killed off the game's first penalty, Vanroboys (1) would receive the puck as he stepped out of the penalty box, rushed up ice, and beat Matt Murray upstairs for his first pro goal at 6:01.
