Goldeyes Acquire First Baseman Brusa in Trade

April 26, 2024 - WINNIPEG, MB - The Winnipeg Goldeyes announced the signing Friday of infielder Gio Brusa. The 30-year-old was acquired earlier in the week in a trade with Gastonia of the Atlantic League, as the player to be named later in a December 15, 2022 transaction that saw pitcher Bryan Blanton sent to the North Carolina-based club. Brusa split the 2023 season between the Kane County Cougars and Kansas City Monarchs, for whom he hit a combined .258 with six doubles, three home runs, and 17 runs batted in over 31 games. A nati... Former Royals Prospect McClelland Returns to Monarchs

April 26, 2024 - KANSAS CITY, Kan. - A hard-throwing former Royals prospect is coming back to the Kansas City Monarchs. Jackson McClelland has signed with the reigning American Association champions. McClelland is a 29-year-old right-hander with a high-90s fastball and plus slider. He was drafted in the 15th round by the Blue Jays and also has spent time in the Cubs organization. After being born in Barcelona, Spain, Connell moved to Florida at the age of nine - his love for baseball followed. Stud Pitcher Goudeau Returns to Monarchs

April 25, 2024 - KANSAS CITY, Kan. - Ashton Goudeau was one of the Kansas City Monarchs' most important players down the stretch in the team's run to a league championship in 2023. Now he's returning to the Monarchs for 2024. Goudeau has 27 career MLB appearances with the Rockies and Reds in 2020, 2021 and 2022. He owns 40 career strikeouts in 63 MLB innings.
